Mercy to all the worlds
(وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ)
“And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a mercy to all the worlds.”
About a month ago, an ignorant imbecile, 'ould mkhaytri' wrote rude, crude, and
unbelievable things about our beloved Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). I couldn't
believe what I heard until I read it myself from his vile facebook profile. He
questioned the mercy of the most merciful being. He questioned the modesty and
honesty of the kindest being. It never crossed my mind that a person brought up
in an 'Islamic Republic' could ever dare to write or even think of such things.
When the ugly reality slapped me in the face, when the bitter truth came out, I
couldn't help but stand in despair and agony. I was shocked to the extreme.
Still, I expected that in this “Islamic Republic of Mauritania” action would be
took immediately. I was certain that the first week of this crisis wouldn't end
without the man being killed. It is undeniable that this a scandal. A week
goes, then two, time keeps going, yet this criminal hasn't faced the
consequences for his wicked act. He should have been executed the first minute.
I don't see any reasonable excuse for it to take so long for his execution to
take place. I don't believe that any Muslim with any ray of faith in his heart
can read what this animal wrote without feeling pain. This is intolerable. I
don't know why many of our people are still so calm. Yes, some people protested
in the streets. A number of people expressed their anger toward this painful
act, but, can any Muslim honestly believe that this enough? The number of
people who protested in the streets are nothing compared to the population of
the people in the city. How can any Muslim peacefully sleep at night while the
man who disrespected our Prophet is still alive? How can anyone be strong
enough to be able to live in this so called 'Islamic' country where our Prophet
is disrespected in daylight? We go to work or to school and come back, our
daily routine did not change. It is as if nothing happened. If your are strong
enough to hide the pain and pretend as if nothing happened, I am not. I am
unable to sit back and watch and bleed in silent. Is the reason for these
widespread stone hearted people is that they believe 'ould mkhaytri'? Is it
that they do not have the answers to his false accusations? If that is the
case, then I guess it is my obligation (as it is to any other Muslim) to answer
these wicked accusations.
First, he talked about the Prophet's daughter “Zainab”. He dared to say that
the merciful Prophet has prejudice against people. He dared to say that he
favored his daughter's husband over the rest of the non-muslim prisoners. When,
Zainab's husband, 'Abulas Ibn Alrabi', was captured, she sent her necklace
(which her mother Khadijah gave her) as a ransom. Abulas was not like any of
the other prisoners. He never hurt the Muslims in any way. The Prophet's wife,
Khadijah, was Abulas' aunt. This alone should be enough to distinguish him from
the other prisoners. He was never an enemy to Islam or the Muslims. So, it is
impossible to compare him to the other prisoners. In addition to that, it is
known in Islam that any Muslim (regardless of who he/she is) can vouch, secure,
and guarantee a non-muslim, thus saving their like or giving them freedom.,
which was what Zainab did So, it was needless for Zainab to give away her
necklace in the first place. Regardless of all that, the Prophet still
consulted his companion and left the choice to them. If there was ever any
prejudice, Abulas wouldn't have been captured in the first. Of course, we all
know that he accepted Islam shortly after. Everyone knows the Prophet's famous
saying when it comes to stealing. In Islam a thief's punishment is for his hand
to be cut off, the Prophet always swore that even if his daughter, Fatima,
stole he would punish her the same way. We all know how much he loved Fatima,
yet he treated he just like any other Muslim, without any prejudice. So, I
answered the first accusation (which was answered centuries ago by the
Prophet's beautiful manners), I will move on to the next. Second, the animal
talks about “Wahshy” and “Hend”. It is famous between people that Wahshy was
hired by Hend to kill the Prophet 's uncle Hamza. This is completely false. No
one hired wahshy to kill Hamza, he did it for himself, then he brought him to
Hend. So, out of anger and revenge Hend bit from Hamza's liver. She, later
accepted Islam and was warmly welcomed by the Prophet and the Muslims. The
animal accused the prophet of accepting Hend's Islam but not accepting
Wahshy's. He made this accusation because Wahsy was black and Hend was from the
Prophet's people. This completely false. Wahshy was accepted into Islam just
like Hend. When the Prophet expelled Wahshy, it was not for his skin color nor
was it for the fact that he killed his uncle. It was not for anything that he
did before his Islam. Islam wipes away all the sins before entering it. The
Prophet's anger towards Wahshy was for his actions after Islam. He accepted
Islam, yet, he became a drunken man doing all the forbidden things. The Prophet
is never angry unless it is for the Almighty Allah's anger. The animal turned
the truth into a lie and a racial issue. Race never had to do with anything.
The Prophet was the first to bring equality between races. He made Bilal the
first man to call for prayer. I don't see how race has to do with anything when
it comes to Islam. Racism itself is a sin because it is out of arrogance and
pride, which are deadly sins. I'll move on now to the third accusation. The
animal accused the Prophet of preferring the people of Makkah to the Jews in
Medina. So, I will talk about the story of the Jews of Medina. When the Prophet
came to Medina, there were four Jewish tribes. The Muslim and Jews made a
treaty and agreed to have peace. The Prophet told them that what belongs to the
Muslims belongs to them, as well, and that what the Muslims have to do, they
have to do, too. The Prophet made the Jews equal to the Muslims. He had the
power and could have simply killed them all, but he didn't. But, the Jews, on
the other hand, broke the treaty. They mocked a Muslim woman by stripping her clothes
off of her. A Muslim man was angered by this sight. So, he killed the Jew, then
the Jews killed him. So, the Prophet, instead of killing the Jews, he asked
them to leave the city and to take with them whatever they want. Oh, how
merciful our beloved is! So, the Jews, of course took with them everything they
could, and what they couldn't take, they destroyed. The Prophet, instead of
expelling all the Jews from Medina, he only expelled the tribe that broke the
treaty. Later, another tribe conspired to Kill the Prophet, so when Allah
showed him the truth, they confessed shamelessly. So, they were expelled as
well. They, too, were allowed to take with them whatever they wished, except
arms, since the other tribe had took with them arms and were planning to rouse
the arabs against the Muslims. Later, only one tribe of Jews was left in
Medina, the rest all betrayed the treaty. Shortly after, the Jews and the Arabs
of Makkah were planning war against the Muslims in Medina. The muslims built
some sort of fortresses against their enemies but they didn't built any against
the Jews in Medina, because they trusted them. Later, the Jews in Medina were
influenced by the other Jews and Arabs, so they conspired against the Muslims.
So, the Muslims were weak and sieged by their enemies from everywhere. Later,
the Jews and Arabs outside had conflicts and distrust between each other and
failed. The tribe of Jews inside, were still there, however. So, of course the
Muslims could no longer trust this tribe. So they killed any male who had
reached puberty and prisoned their women. This is the only reasonable response
in this situation. After all, it was Allah's order. So, these Jews cannot be
compared to the Arabs in Makkah. When, the Prophet came to Makkah and freed the
Arabs, it is not because he preferred them. No, it is because they accepted
Islam and were not to be feared for any potential danger. The Prophet made us
all equal. He never preferred or differed people based on race or their
relationship to him. After all, his uncle Abu Laheb is punished in hell now.
When his other uncle, Abu Taleb, was on his deathbed, he asked him for just one
word that he can use to save him on the day of Judgment. If the Prophet was
anything close to prejudice, he would have claimed that his relatives would
immediately go to heaven regardless of their believes. I have answered the
ignorant imbecile's false accusations to our beloved Muhammed (PBUH). There are
more cases than what I wrote that show the Prophet's mercy and honesty. In fact
his life itself is mercy. A life that does not revolve around loving the
Prophet is not worth living. A heart that doesn't pump his love to the rest of
the body is a sick heart. His love flows in us like the blood in our bodies.
